Power move
Log an expense by double-tapping your iPhone

Tap the back of your phone twice, type what you spent, done — in about three seconds, without opening a single app. One-time setup, roughly five minutes. Works on iPhone 8 and newer.

1

Get your personal link

Send /dashboard to the bot on Telegram, then paste the link it gives you here. Nothing is sent anywhere — this runs in your browser.

https://cashlog.online/api/quick/YOUR_SECRET

On an iPhone? Tap below to add the ready-made shortcut, then open it once and paste the link above into its Get Contents of URL step, replacing YOUR_SECRET.

2

Build the shortcut

  1. Open the Shortcuts app (it's built into every iPhone) and tap + in the top-right corner.
  2. You'll see an empty shortcut with a search bar saying “Search for apps and actions”. That search bar is how you add every step below.
  3. Search Ask for Input and tap it. Set Input type to Text, and change the prompt to “What did you spend?”
  4. Search Get Contents of URL and tap it. Paste your copied link from step 1 into its URL field.
  5. Tap Show More on that same action to expand it, then set Method to POST and Request Body to JSON.
  6. Tap Add new field → choose Text → type text as the key. Tap the empty value box beside it and pick the blue Provided Input variable.
  7. Search Show Notification and tap it. Clear its text and insert the Contents of URL variable, so you see the ✅ confirmation.
  8. Tap the name at the top, rename it to Add Expense, and tap Done.

💡 Test it: run the shortcut and send chai 20. You should see “✅ ₹20 · 🍔 Food”.

3

Turn on Back Tap

  1. Open SettingsAccessibility.
  2. Tap Touch (under the “Physical and Motor” heading).
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and tap Back Tap.
  4. Choose Double Tap.
  5. Scroll past the system options to the Shortcuts section at the bottom, and tap Add Expense.

✅ Done. Double-tap the back of your phone — the prompt appears, and you can type or tap the mic to speak the expense. Your phone needs to be unlocked for the prompt to show.

Not on iPhone? Open your dashboard and choose Share → Add to Home Screen — it opens like an app with a quick-add box at the top. Android users can also use any HTTP-shortcut app with the same link.
